Descent to the south

The Croatian coast, over 6,000 km long, consists of 1,246 islands, islets, rocks and reefs at sea, and numerous bays, isthmuses, gulfs and two peninsulas, Pelješac and Istria, on land. It is an ideal place for nautical tourism due to its indented coastline.

Although at first people will associate the word downhill with skiing, in this case we are talking about downhill on the ultra-light catamaran Smartkat from the northernmost point of the Croatian coast, Savudrijska vala, to the southernmost point of cape Oštra. Our crew will stay on the catamaran the whole time and do the entire descent in uninterrupted sailing.

Since we will not go around every island and every bay in this descent, the length of the descent will be about 560 km. Depending on the weather conditions, we will need 3 to 5 days for this adventure.
